This is a lovely little hidden gem frequented by locals. It’s not too crowded, and because it’s a bay, it’s really perfect for small children because you don’t have to worry about big surf or undertow. The beach doesn’t have too many shells. The sand isn’t fine, but it’s not too dirty. Kellogg beach is located a few blocks from the end of a coastal pedestrian/bike path, so it’s a great place to visit if you’re staying in the area and can bike in. If you’re driving, parking is very limited, and the beach is a bit tough to find, which is why I think it’s best suited to locals.
Kellogg Beach might not seem like it’s a location worth 5 stars at first glance, but if you cut through the residential area, it also connects to Bessemer Path, which has a lovely water front walk with lots of scenic spots, places for dogs to run in the water, and if you look closely, quite a few flower species! The fact that the path is right by the water helps to keep it a bit cooler too :)
Small hidden beach at the end of Rosecrans. Street parking only which can be challenging. No bathrooms. But a fun place to sit and relax...enjoying the views of the marina. The water is calm. Our kids kayaked and had a blast. A sea lion swam up pretty close to shore for a visit! It was pretty busy for a weekday.
This is one of my favorite beaches in San Diego. By far the easiest to park at and never really crowded. The views are magical. The Sail boats are so fun to watch.
Kellogg Beach is a beautiful safe place for families, Parking can be tough especially on summer days.its great for swimmers also.
This beach is a disaster. It is unsafe and poses many threats such as sharp rocks, a stingray infestation, and dirty water from an ugly pipe sticking out onto the beach. Do not come here, go to a different, better beach such as Ocean Beach.
Definately not a "Dog Beach" I just got a citation that cost me $200.00 for having a my dog off leash
I love this little cove.. I have been coming here since 26 years.. I can swim & watch the boats go in & out of the Yaght Club .. Very entertaining mostly a family beach. 👌❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ …
